fuming as keeper Bosnich moves to Chelsea
Chelsea
ended Mark Bosnich's 18 months of Old Trafford torture in a transfer coup that left
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson fuming. Ferguson had told the goalkeeper he
was free to find a new club by the end of this month in a gesture was meant to be valid
for the Continent only - but Bosnich took it at face value, and immediately set up talks
with Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri. more...

Jari can be new Dalglish, says Rush
Ian Rush insists Jari Litmanen can become Liverpool's new Kenny
Dalglish.

Litmanen: Rush believes he can have a huge influence
(MikeHewitt/Allsport) |
Former Liverpool star Rush has been highly impressed by Litmanen in the early stages of
his Anfield career and believes the Finnish forward could become a huge influence on the
side as the season goes on.
He said: 'I benefited from Kenny Dalglish's vision an awful lot and I'm sure the
current Liverpool strike force will benefit from Litmanen in the same way.
'His performance at Villa at the weekend reminded me of how Kenny used to drop off as a
lone striker away from home.'
Litmanen's free transfer from Spanish giants Barcelona is being seen as Liverpool
manager Gerard Houllier's shrewdest move.
And Rush added: 'The way Litmanen instantly looks forward when he gets the ball has
really impressed me. He is always looking to attack and bring in other players.'
